Sylvie works in a supervisory role for the MindKey doctoral residents. In this role, Dr. Pappas provides experienced guidance, knowledge and expertise, ensuring all doctoral resident services are of the same high quality and excellence standard Dr. Pappas herself has provided for over 20 years.

Dr. Pappas is a neuropsychologist, holding a Master’s in Psychiatry and a PhD in Psychology. She began her career assessing and diagnosing children in residential treatment centers and school districts across Alberta and the Northwest Territories. Her expertise expanded to include assessing developmental disabilities, brain injuries, prenatal alcohol exposure, psychiatric disorders, and neurodegenerative disorders in adults. Dr. Pappas served as the lead Neuropsychologist at the Glenrose Hospital FASD Clinic in Edmonton, Alberta, and was engaged with the University of Alberta, contributing as an instructor and clinical supervisor. In addition, she has held the positions of Chief Psychologist and Coordinator of Assessment Services at a regional treatment facility. Dr. Pappas has been recognized as an expert witness, testifying in the Provincial Court of Alberta and the Court of Queen’s Bench.
